Now is the time for the Government to come up with a BHAG – A big hairy audacious energy goal, take control of the energy debate by making it about our economic future and not just an important social issue. There is an opportunity for Liberals to take control of the debate by leaving the ideological debate to those who wish to fight it and make climate change an economic and business debate.

This afternoon I will be a co-host of the Coalition for Conservations event on “Energy and the Environment” with special guest Matt Kean MP, NSW Minister for Environment and Energy. Our Coalition for Conservation approach is to attempt to remove ideology and personalities out of debates. And to talk about hard issues based on facts and challenging questionable claims.
